As someone who has really dry skin, I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that dry skin people cannot use chemical exfoliants. But the reality is, a really nice, gentle chemical exfoliator can keep your skin hydrated. We looked on the landscape and we feel like there just isn't a product that the PHA gluconolactone and lactic acid just is. But we cannot do this alone, because even though Gloria has dry skin, she is a bit of an acid queen, and I have oily, acne-y skin. So we ended up polling our chemist confessions community for those that deal with redness, sensitive skin, dryness, or just had a really bad AHA experience. To join in on this PD project, they helped decide the final prototype, which you see here. 30% gluconolactone, the PHA, and 15% lactic acid. Which sounds like an intimidating level, but rest assured, you have all instructions in front of you, and our community can back that it is gentle and effective. So, we're very proud of this formula.
