One of the most common comments I get is... the final result is “too orange.” Now I think we can all agree 80s/90s orange oak is very out of style. However I’m suprised to get these comments on vintage walnut pieces. Do you consider vintage walnut “too orange”? The process: - Reglued loose joints with @titebond - Filled voids with wood filler and 2 part epoxy - Sanded the piece with @3mabrasives Cubitron sanding pads - Sealed the piece with @Zinsser Sealcoat Dewaxed Shellac - Color touchups with Mohawk blendals, powder stains, and graining pens - Stained the legs and drawer edges with @zarfinishes premium teak stain - Sprayed toner (Zinsser sealcoat + Transtint golden brown dye) to even the color - Top coated the piece with @geminiindustries Evo clear – Satin Sheen
