So this is the NCLA First Base Ultra Base Coat, and according to the website, it is an essential primer that provides the proper protection before going all the way, with a manicure of course. And this first base is formulated to prime your nail for the perfect long-lasting manicure. It has a matte finish, which I really enjoy, and it provides a smooth surface for color application and protects your nails from the polish. So I'm super excited, I like it so far. It doesn't smell too much, so I'm gonna test it out and then let you guys know how I think. So stay tuned for this NCLA First Base.

Hey, if you haven't made it to first base yet, it's not my fault. Not really. NCLA's base coat is called First Base and it's actually what you put on your nails first before you paint your coats on and it keeps your nail polish from chipping and I think it keeps my nail polish shinier too. I can see the difference. This is my first time to use it and I gotta say I really liked it. The other thing I noticed was my nails did not smudge at all when I did them so really liking this. I definitely recommend.

When I'm looking for a top coat, I want something that's going to be extremely shiny and something that's going to make my manicure last for a long time. I don't have a lot of time to do my nails as a mom, so I want it to last as long as possible. And I love the gel look, but I don't really have time to go to the nail salon, so I think this will be a really good option for me. It went on super easily. It wasn't too thick. I've tried other top coats that were supposed to have that gel finish, and a lot of them were really goopy and hard to work with. This wasn't. It went on very, very easily, and I love the look with it. It has that almost mirror-like finish to it. Without it, it still has a pretty finish, but it's not that almost glass-like look that you want with gel-looking nails. I also love this brand. It's cruelty-free, it's vegan, and it's woman-owned. I'm definitely going to be keeping this in my routine.

One of my favorite nail polishes is by NCLA, so I decided to pick up another one. This is like a peachy pink with a little bit of shimmer. This took about three coats.

Alright, let's talk about the NCLA nail polish. First and foremost, the brand is vegan and cruelty free and it's also free of the top seven toxins that's found in nail polishes which is awesome. The color is gorgeous. I do think it takes a little bit longer than what I'm used to for it to dry, but other than that, it's a beautiful blush pink color and I think it's great for like French tips, nude sets. Awesome.
