It feels more, even though it's like a gel like texture, it feels more like water. It just feels very light and nice on the skin. As far as the brightening component of it, I feel like it did exactly what the regular ethylated ascorbic acid from The Ordinary did. So it basically just comes down to preference, what you want to feel on your skin. The ethylated ascorbic acid is definitely more of an oil texture whereas the Escargill glucoside solution is more of a water jelly like texture.
