Today was the day I said goodbye to my traditional shampoo and conditioner and started using co-wash. This smoothing hair co-wash by Geologie is perfect for keeping your hair thoroughly hydrated throughout the winter months and it's what I'm going to be using from November through March at least. We'll see how much I love it and if I keep using it all summer.

if you never heard of a co-wash let me tell you what it is. think of it as skin care for your scalp. it's made to not only cleanse the hair but the scalp too. remove all the build-up without stripping your hair of its natural oils. stumbling upon a co-wash has been a lifesaver. i'm a dancer and athlete who sweats a ton but cannot wash my hair every day as it over strips the hair, ruins the curls, but then i'm left with a ton of build-up and an itchy scalp. so thankfully geology, a 14-time award-winning skincare brand, applied the same ingredient principles as did for the skin to the scalp because scalp care is skincare too. so no need for shampoo or conditioner as you can see i am brushing my hair without conditioner. i know, crazy. so now i can cleanse all the build-up and sweat off my scalp without destroying my curls and keeping them soft and voluminous. and most importantly saying goodbye to an itchy scalp. geology has two types, one cooling co-wash with tea tree and aloe and another smoothing with avocado and coconut oil which is what i like to use. all are color safe, good for all hair types, and contains dermatologist-proven ingredients. i mean just look at those curls!
