If you've never used a baking mat, this is your sign. This is a silicone baking mat and it helps things bake more evenly in the oven. I love the sprinkle design. The one flaw was that it did have these creases on it and I haven't got them out yet, but still super cute.

A basting brush is one of those things that you never really think to get, but that can so level up your cooking. Anything precise that you need to do in the kitchen, like applying egg wash to pie dough, or applying marinade to meat or fish that you're about to cook, instead of doing it with your hands and just getting super messy, you can use a basting brush. I really like to use it to brush melted butter on rolls right before I'm about to bake them. This one from G.I.R. is great because it's dishwasher safe, which is major just to help speed up the cleanup, and it's BPA and BPS free, and it's also incredibly heat resistant. So I would recommend it as just a very inexpensive way to level up your cooking.
