JOURNEY TO VEGAN
Our compassion for animals has always been at the heart of Hourglass, and in 2017, we began to re-examine what it meant to be truly cruelty-free. We decided that in order for us to move forward with integrity, we had to push not only for ingredients that haven't been tested on animals but also for ingredients that aren’t derived from them.

While the majority of our collection was already vegan, we committed ourselves to replace a few animal byproducts in select formulations, pledging to become 100% vegan by 2020. Leveraging our passion for innovation and ingredient technology, we got to work on creating cutting-edge vegan replacements.

By December 2020, we successfully reformulated our remaining products to be fully vegan and are celebrating this milestone with the launch of Confession™ Red 0. Our biggest innovation to date, Red 0 is a 100% vegan red lipstick formulated with our patent-pending replacement for carmine—the industry’s standard red pigment produced from crushed female insects. Red 0 symbolizes our commitment to animal welfare and marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to cruelty-free beauty.

roll with hourglass and today we're going to look at the vanish blush stick in the shade devoted which is described as a dusty rose. This has a natural finish there's no shimmer in the blush but you will see a little bit of a glow. I'm going to apply it directly to my face and then I'm going to blend it out using a kind of medium fluffy brush. You'll see in the sunlight it has a little bit of a natural glow but there's no shimmer. I love this blush.

Hey guys, so today we're gonna be trying out the Hourglass blush. This is in the shade Devoted. I think it's the cutest color ever. Let's see how it looks. Ooh, ooh. Let's blend that out with the fingers. I don't use a beauty blender because it gives me acne, but let's see. That blended out beautifully. Oh my god, I think I'm obsessed. Let's try the other side. This is the other side. Now let's blend. This is how it came out. I really, really love it. It was very blendable. I just used my fingers. I usually just use my fingers. I don't use beauty blenders. And I think that it came out beautifully. You guys need to try this blush. They have beautiful shades. I am obsessed.

This is the Hourglass Vanish Stick Blush in the shade Devoted. And side by side next to Sacred, Devoted is definitely much more of a muted peachy pink shade. I think this blush would work best if you're wanting to achieve a more natural or subtle look. And for that, I definitely think it's so pretty.

Hey guys, we're back again with another video. Hi, we're reviewing the Hourglass Fanish Blush Stick in the color Devoted. I've been using it a couple times now. I really enjoy it. My preference for application, I'll just put it on my cheek up here and then I will take a brush and just blend it in. And it blends right in. It blends right in. It gives you just like a nice flush of color and it doesn't disrupt the makeup underneath either. So, I really enjoy it. 10 out of 10. Recommend.

Hi friends! I figure let's continue with the hourglass theme. I have the hourglass foundation on so let's apply some blush. This is in the color Devoted which is like a pretty dusty rose color. I'll just swatch it right here and this blush you don't have to be afraid that you're going to apply just too much because it's very buildable and it gives like a subtle color once applied and you could always add a little bit more. It blends out very nicely. I'll show you. I just use like a little bit of a little dense brush to blend it out and give me a minute and I'll get to better lighting so you can see. And this is the blush and better lighting and you don't have to be afraid that if you're heavy-handed it won't come out looking like a clown and this will last forever and I definitely recommend.

Hi Flip. I already have the Hourglass foundation on so I wanted to use my other products. This is their cream blush. It comes in a stick form also. This is what it looks like. This is the color Devoted and this is what it looks like. And these are like a buildable kind of blush so if you don't like anything super strongly pigmented where you have to be careful how you apply, this is a great one to use. I did apply a little already but I can always apply a lot with this one and not have to worry about it. I use my Real Techniques brush to blend it out and it's really really pretty. And just like the foundation, this blush has lasted me a very long time. Super travel friendly, easy to use. Love this. Definitely recommend.

My friends, I feel like my face could use a little color. So I thought I'd put on some blush. This is from Hourglass. This is their Vanish Cream Blush in the color Devoted. And this is the color. It's a pretty like rosy pink. And I think the way I prefer it is I'll put it on the back of my hand. And then I'll take the color from there. And we'll dab it on my cheeks. Which actually isn't the preferred way. Let's just draw it on. We'll do like two lines and then we'll just buff it in with a brush. It's so pretty. I really need to check out these other colors that they have. Just super into cream blushes now. Look at that. Love it.

I have been wanting to try this shade from the Hourglass stick in the called Devoted. Look how beautiful this is. I love it. It's pure perfection. I think this is perfect for like an everyday look. So awesome.

So as we continue with Hourglass Day, this is the highlighter which is beautiful in the color Bronze Flash. This is what it looks like and it's beautiful. I know this stuff is so pigmented so I'm really going to try hard not to put too much on. I think that's like perfect. It's kind of great with this type of application. You can just put it where you want it and I'm just going to use my finger so that it doesn't, it's not too dramatic. Oh, come on glow. Yes. Yes. I love it. Yes.

So I am using the bronze flash on my brow bow, on my nose, on my cubics bowl, and my cheeks and this is more for a bronzy look but I absolutely love it and it blends really well. The packaging is super cute and like I said it's a little bit darker. It is a bronzier highlighter but you can easily blend and a little bit goes a long way.

Once again, makeup from Hourglass is just amazing. This highlight is in the shade Bronze Flash. And the formula applied like a dream. I used my fingertips to blend it onto my cheekbones and I also put it on my nose. And of course, I could not forget my collarbones. I wanted that pop. This highlight gave me a beautiful glow, but it wasn't overdone and I just loved it.

This is the bronze flash from hourglass and this is a highlighter. I believe I got the darkest shade and this is it swatched. I'm gonna put it on the cheeks so you guys see how it works. I am gonna put a lot because I have tried this before. I'm gonna blend it in so you guys can see how it just kind of melts into the skin. It disappears pretty quickly into the skin. It blends seamlessly into the skin. On my face and on my hand you guys can see that it's there but kind of barely. So it's a soft highlight once it's blended in. I give the package in a 10 out of 10. I give the finish because I prefer a more in-your-face highlight about like a 7 out of 10. That is it.

This hourglass highlighting stick I actually used as a bronzer and it went beautifully on the skin. I am obsessed. It gives you that perfect glow without being in the sun. Definitely great for everyday wear.

Okay, this is the Hourglass Champagne Flash Highlighting Stick. I like to apply it on the highest points of my face. And no tools are needed, I just like to warm it up with my fingertips and blend it out for such a natural, glowy, and radiant look.

This is in the color Champagne Flash, which is also in a stick, and I will show you a swatch. That's what it looks like. It's so pretty. It looks like glass skin, and I basically just draw this on my cheek, and then I just blend it in with my finger. And do you see that glow? It's stunning. And then you could just put it a little on your nose, just as a highlight. And this too, because it's in a stick formation, it's going to last you forever. You could wipe it off with your finger and just apply. It's just so pretty. Definitely recommend.

Hi Flip, so we're doing a full face of Hourglass makeup. Ignore my crazy hair. I have the foundation on, I have a blush on, this is their highlighter. It's also a cream stick, this is what it looks like. This is in the color Champagne, and I will show you that is what it looks like. Super super pretty. And I like to apply this, I'll use my finger. I do have a little bit on, but I don't care, I'll apply more. And I kind of just dab it into the high points of my face, and it just looks really really pretty. It doesn't look like crazy, but you can definitely see it. Definitely worth checking out. These are also very travel friendly, they last forever, and they have other shades to pick from too. So, been loving this.

Guys, I'm currently obsessed with this product right here. This is the Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick from Hourglass. I got it in the shade Champagne Flash, and look at how beautiful it is. I love it. It's super easy to blend out, and it's my first highlighting stick that I try out, but I am literally obsessed with it.
