JOURNEY TO VEGAN
Our compassion for animals has always been at the heart of Hourglass, and in 2017, we began to re-examine what it meant to be truly cruelty-free. We decided that in order for us to move forward with integrity, we had to push not only for ingredients that haven't been tested on animals but also for ingredients that aren’t derived from them.

While the majority of our collection was already vegan, we committed ourselves to replace a few animal byproducts in select formulations, pledging to become 100% vegan by 2020. Leveraging our passion for innovation and ingredient technology, we got to work on creating cutting-edge vegan replacements.

By December 2020, we successfully reformulated our remaining products to be fully vegan and are celebrating this milestone with the launch of Confession™ Red 0. Our biggest innovation to date, Red 0 is a 100% vegan red lipstick formulated with our patent-pending replacement for carmine—the industry’s standard red pigment produced from crushed female insects. Red 0 symbolizes our commitment to animal welfare and marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to cruelty-free beauty.

I saw so many people reach for the sacred blush by hourglass like it's it's literally sacred that's the shade name at least I don't know anyways it's like this beautiful like I would say like toned down peach I don't know all I know is that I'm a blush girl that loves blush and I probably put way too much on that's fine I always do that normally that is gorgeous might put a little bit too much on but that is fancy I'm gonna keep this and I'm probably gonna buy more

We are just honestly in hourglass heaven today. So I have the blush This is the sacred in the shade sacred and it's a nice little like peachy Pink shade for a nice subtle flush of you know blush I don't I mean, I love blush, but I don't like Too heavy and for a no makeup makeup look this was perfect for me. It looks natural It looks stunning. My skin looks amazing. I absolutely love the blush

I got pretty like a girl, and he got vice to his tails I see you from both sides like Chanel, I see you from both sides like Chanel Swimmin' lines, move, move harder, eat it like I'm underworld Got my tattoos in Shibuya, police think I'm out the underworld I've treated girls like a 12, they lookin' up to me, talkin' out Can't you see I am the big man, I know I am the I am I'm full up with the drunk and I'ma take a good dip When I stay cool, that's the place I'm gonna kill I'ma run and pull back, yeah, that's the hood

This blush is very, very pigmented. So I put a lot more on that side, like a heavier amount on that side than I did on this side. And I should have anticipated that, but this is my first time using a stick blush. However, I'm someone that likes a lot of blush, but if you don't like that much blush and you just want a little hint of blush, I wouldn't even recommend a stick blush. But if you do like a lot of blush like I do, then probably like this. I think the color is really pretty. It's just a subtle, natural pink. And obviously I have to see how this wears, but I do like the formula.

This is the Hourglass Stick Blush in the shade Sacred. I'm swiping this on the high points of my cheekbones and dabbing it out with a brush. With any remainder product on the brush, I like to swipe it wherever the sun would naturally hit. And here's the final look!

Why don't people talk about Hourglass more?

Hourglass Sacred Blush Stick. Like I've said before, it's a little scary when you first put it on, but the... Don't be worried, the color will blend out. Using my other Elf buffing brush. May have used a little too much today, but that is alright. We can always blend it out. But I love... I just love how pigmented this is. I love blush, I used to be scared of it. Not really scared of it anymore, as you can see. But this stick blush, I'm a fan.

Since I used my Hourglass foundation stick, I am now going to use my Hourglass blush stick in the color Sacred. I am waiting on my flip box with my contour to come. I got a dibs one after seeing so many great reviews. So using another e.l.f. brush, like I said, sometimes you gotta look a little crazy before everything comes together. I love this color. It is, like, so bright, but then once you have it all the way on, it's just perfect. I've worn it all seasons and just absolutely loved it. All right, we're getting somewhere.

This beautiful Vanish Blush Stick in the color Sacred. I've been putting a little on my lips. It is phenomenal. Blends out beautifully. The color is perfect. I'm thinking about getting a little deeper one for when spring and summer come along. But I've still got some time before then. This will do for now.

I have the vanish hourglass blush stick in the color sacred and Going to use sparingly because I feel like it's anything like the other products a little goes a long way. I grabbed my blush Blendy brush I use and Okay, I like the color probably could have used a little bit more I think I was just a little scared But I cannot wait to do a full face with these products. Oh my gosh I already had the hourglass setting powder, but these are the next products I Will be trying out by this brand. I feel like they're kind of luxury a little bit

So today when I was throwing on my makeup I decided to use my Hourglass airbrush Cream blush today, which I haven't used it in a while, and I didn't for how much I love this color it's a perfect kind of I don't know cheeky pink and Love the formula the texture it is pricey, but it is worth it in my opinion Love it will do a check back in on my lunch break and see how it's held up, but Love love love it

Going all in with the Hourglass products today. This is the Blush Stick in the color Sacred. And it is super ripe but it will just blend out beautifully. I'm just going to use the same brush I was using because my set's downstairs and I don't want to go down and grab it. But look at that color! See, not as scary as when you first put it on. She blends out really nicely. I am just such a fan. I got a little less on this side but that's okay because in the end it's all going to come together. She is beautiful, this color.

I feel like a little bit of blush always goes a long way and I just love, love, love the sun kissed look. Love it.

So as we continue with Hourglass Day, this is the highlighter which is beautiful in the color Bronze Flash. This is what it looks like and it's beautiful. I know this stuff is so pigmented so I'm really going to try hard not to put too much on. I think that's like perfect. It's kind of great with this type of application. You can just put it where you want it and I'm just going to use my finger so that it doesn't, it's not too dramatic. Oh, come on glow. Yes. Yes. I love it. Yes.

So I am using the bronze flash on my brow bow, on my nose, on my cubics bowl, and my cheeks and this is more for a bronzy look but I absolutely love it and it blends really well. The packaging is super cute and like I said it's a little bit darker. It is a bronzier highlighter but you can easily blend and a little bit goes a long way.

Once again, makeup from Hourglass is just amazing. This highlight is in the shade Bronze Flash. And the formula applied like a dream. I used my fingertips to blend it onto my cheekbones and I also put it on my nose. And of course, I could not forget my collarbones. I wanted that pop. This highlight gave me a beautiful glow, but it wasn't overdone and I just loved it.

This is the bronze flash from hourglass and this is a highlighter. I believe I got the darkest shade and this is it swatched. I'm gonna put it on the cheeks so you guys see how it works. I am gonna put a lot because I have tried this before. I'm gonna blend it in so you guys can see how it just kind of melts into the skin. It disappears pretty quickly into the skin. It blends seamlessly into the skin. On my face and on my hand you guys can see that it's there but kind of barely. So it's a soft highlight once it's blended in. I give the package in a 10 out of 10. I give the finish because I prefer a more in-your-face highlight about like a 7 out of 10. That is it.

This hourglass highlighting stick I actually used as a bronzer and it went beautifully on the skin. I am obsessed. It gives you that perfect glow without being in the sun. Definitely great for everyday wear.

I'm just going to tap, I don't want to put too much. Blend that in. We're going to put it on the inner corner. You see that's so pretty. This is pretty light and subtle, doesn't feel sticky or anything. We're going to add a little bit more. Blend it out with my finger. The formula is really nice. It blends really well.
