JOURNEY TO VEGAN
Our compassion for animals has always been at the heart of Hourglass, and in 2017, we began to re-examine what it meant to be truly cruelty-free. We decided that in order for us to move forward with integrity, we had to push not only for ingredients that haven't been tested on animals but also for ingredients that aren’t derived from them.

While the majority of our collection was already vegan, we committed ourselves to replace a few animal byproducts in select formulations, pledging to become 100% vegan by 2020. Leveraging our passion for innovation and ingredient technology, we got to work on creating cutting-edge vegan replacements.

By December 2020, we successfully reformulated our remaining products to be fully vegan and are celebrating this milestone with the launch of Confession™ Red 0. Our biggest innovation to date, Red 0 is a 100% vegan red lipstick formulated with our patent-pending replacement for carmine—the industry’s standard red pigment produced from crushed female insects. Red 0 symbolizes our commitment to animal welfare and marks a new chapter in our ongoing commitment to cruelty-free beauty.

So this is actually probably my favorite hourglass product. This is the translucent powder and I apply it with the beauty blender because I like to bake. I love how there's a pan in here. It's great easy to like use especially with my beauty blender because I need to dip this and I apply a lot and I love to sculpt my nose here This does really well at Securing the nose contour and I also bake Under my cheekbones and I feel like it locks my makeup in for like the rest of the day So yeah, this is just great powder. It's been about five minutes and I'm just wiping off the powder But overall it locks the makeup in pretty nicely I like it

I love hourglass, so let's try the veil setting powder. It literally blurs the skin. Look how good my skin looks. Go get it.

I've already been through two of these. I thought I'd wait to do a review just to make sure I liked it the second time. I like it even more. I don't like my makeup too cakey. I am from Dancing with the Stars. I am privileged enough to get my makeup put on my face. And even with HD, like if you're on camera, this is the best. Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder is the way to go and here's why. You don't even need that much. You just take a small amount, you dab it, put it all over your face, and you're covered. You're good. If you sweat, work out, or if your job is to be on camera, this translucent powder is light, works. It doesn't make you look cakey. Fresh. I hate whenever I use translucent powder or loose powder and a bunch comes out. Look, it doesn't just spill out. This is the only powder that my makeup artist will use on me because it's the only thing that prevents me from looking oily. Veil by Hourglass. Get yours now.

Unboxing this was seriously so satisfying. Let's try out the Hourglass Translucent Setting Powder. I'm using this to bake underneath my eyes and I'm also setting my whole face with this today. This is a super unique powder because it's so fine. I find that, tongue twister, I find that I use thicker powders to kind of set like the Laura Mercier or the Patrick Starr. This is just so nice and smoothing. I worry with like lighter setting powders or like those finely milled ones, you have to worry about flashback. Not this one. Your skin just looks super smooth.

Let's try the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. This is like talked about forever. I finally bit the bullet and was like, give it to me. So let's get to our setting. It is so pretty. Everything Hourglass comes out with is just, you know, love it. So one side I'm gonna set with a brush and the other one we'll use a beauty blender. Yes, yes. You do not disappoint Hourglass, thank you. Now this side I'm gonna pick up with my beauty blender, like just a tiny bit damp. So good, I knew it. It's so good you guys. You need this, you need it.

This is one of my absolute favorite setting powders. I love to use it under my eyes. This is the Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder. I'm going to use my Beauty Blender Puff. Look at that. So pretty. Look at that. So pretty.

This is the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder and there's a reason why I try powder after powder and always come back to this one. Look at how it just blurs my whole face where I put it. It is literally incredible and it feels so smooth to the touch. It is absolutely a staple in my makeup routine. I love it.

So now that I put on my bronzer, I'm gonna go in and set my under eyes with this Hourglass The Veil. I reviewed it last week, it's so freaking good. I love it. Are you kidding me? Look at this. So freaking gorgeous. This powder is like, amazing. If you're looking for something to love, it's this powder. Look. Ah! 

Okay, so to test out to make sure that my under eyes don't crease after I fully did them with concealer and everything We're gonna try the hourglass veil setting powder very luxurious. I don't even want to get it dirty I'm just gonna sift it to get some of that powder on top. I love to do the dry sponge method So we're gonna dip it in there Okay, that looks pretty smooth compared to that it's like a blurring filter I'm gonna do the other parts of my face that are a little oily Now my forehead even looks photoshopped just look at the difference under the eyes also Let's do the rest of our face and do a little wear test So the Sun is pretty much setting it's been a few hours as you can see I'm about to make the least of my face No creasing and it still looks really good 10 out of 10 on this powder Okay, so to test out to make sure that my under eyes don't crease after I fully did them with concealer and everything

is the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder and this is my second container of it. I love this stuff. Story time, one time I had a date party for my sorority and we took pictures with the flash and I was not using this powder I was using a different one and I looked at the pictures and I had flashback all over my face. So this powder does not do that that's why I will continue to repurchase it but I'm also a very oily girl and I don't have any problems with this one so cannot recommend this one enough. My mom uses this powder and she loves it so if you're needing a new powder this is the one to go with.

I wanted to talk about the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder because I've been using it for like four months now and I just ordered another box or another container of it and it came in a box. But this is also the Beauty Blender Puff. Love her. I just like to take it on the little puff and put it right underneath my eyes. I also just tried out the Hourglass Airbrush Concealer. Ten out of ten. So good. Hourglass never misses. Their products are on the pricey side but so worth it. Even my mom likes this powder. She got it from the Flip app and she said she loves it. I always like over set my eyes just because they kind of crease but I'm going to set the eyes a little bit like this. And another thing about this powder is you are not going to get oily and I'm an oily girl. So we love that and also you can set your whole face and you won't have flashback. Because one time I used a setting powder for like a date night and we took pictures and I had flashback. So love this powder. Cannot recommend it enough. I talk about it all the time. I promise you will not be disappointed.

This is my favorite setting powder of all time and it's so good. I bought two This is the one that I'm almost done with and then I just bought another one because I'm scared to not have it on hand For whenever I run out so went ahead and bought another one But I just wanted to talk about why it's my favorite. I actually got my mom to try this she hasn't told me if she likes it yet, but I hope she does but she also bought it here on the flip app and Seriously the best setting powder. There's no flashback in pictures. It keeps you matte all night, and I'm an oily girl an oily girl, so Love this powder. It's a little bit more on the expensive side, but worth the money. This has lasted me several months I got this in December and we're now in April and there's still a lot in here I just kind of went ahead and bought a new one pretty early, but like look at that Hello, she's she's still keeping the glow my makeup has but also making me not get oily So ten out of ten recommend. I promise you will not be disappointed

supposed to be the best talc-free setting powder on the market, okay? I'm going to be testing out the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. So apparently what replaces talc in this is mica, and mica is supposed to be more expensive to get. This also has diamond powder in it, so I'm really intrigued. It has a little H component. I don't really, I'm not too crazy about the packaging, but let's just go right in. First impressions, it is super blurring. Like, hold on, let me tell you, hold on, run that back, run that back. Whoa. What? I love this. It's light, it's illuminating, it's blurring. This is everything that I want in a powder, and it won't make me sick.

I'm going to try out the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. When you open it, it has this nice H right here. Looks very fancy. And then you can shake the powder out, which I did, and I just put into the cap. I have some here on the bottom of my sponge, and what I like to do is just kind of tap it on the back of my hand to get a lot of the excess off of it, and then just kind of go and set. I've heard so many great things about this powder, so I have been dying to try this out. And yeah, it's definitely translucent. Oh, wow. Look at that, how it sets that. Do you see that? Okay, I'm shook. Okay. So this is the side that I just did the powder. No powder. What?

If you have dry or textured skin, definitely check out the Hourglass Veil Powder. This is one of the most finely milled setting powders I have ever used. This is what the packaging looks like. It feels so incredibly soft and it just blurs and smooths your skin. It never looks cakey. I'm someone with super duper dry skin. I tend to have flaky skin as well and this always makes my skin look so pretty.

I don't want to like this setting powder because it's ridiculously expensive and doesn't give you that much product but I do, I do love this powder. Now the reason why I like this translucent powder from Hourglass is because it gives such a beautiful diffused almost blurred finish. I really like how the packaging is designed because it helps prevent too much of the powder from spilling out and due to the shape of the cap it kind of protects the powder so it won't like get super duper messy compared to some other setting powder packages I have tried. So if you have the money and are looking for a blurring powder this is excellent but if you're on a budget there are some pretty awesome drugstore setting powders out there that also work really well.
