Hue Noir set out to give women more choices and better options for achieving their desired look, developing formulas designed specifically for the varied and unique complexions among women of color. Our True Hues Flawless Finish Foundation, for instance, is available in 25 true-to-skin-color shades. Further, our products are formulated to emphasize a woman’s natural beauty while nourishing and protecting her skin.

OUR SCIENCE
Hue Noir was founded by Paula Hayes, a product chemist and woman of color inspired by the challenge of finding quality cosmetics that complemented her complexion. Personally aware of the beauty industry’s limited makeup options for her and women like her, Paula embarked on a mission to rethink cosmetic formulas and put multicultural women at the center. Her goal was to create products calibrated to interact well with darker complexions and trusted for their consistent high quality.

With her background as a chemist, Paula began to develop makeup formulas specifically suited to women of color. Today, we combine scientific-based research & development, custom-made manufacturing equipment, leading-edge light and color technology, and innovative luxury ingredients to design textures and shades guaranteed to work for women of color. With products ranging from hydrating lip butters to true-to-hue foundations, Hue Noir relies predominantly on natural ingredients for worry-free, everyday wear for even delicate skin. All our products are cruelty free, hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic.

Since our inception in 2009, Hue Noir has been run by women of color for women of color. We are proud to oversee every step of production at our Portland-area location, from conception to manufacture and packaging. Hey guys, today I am showing you the Hue Noir Touch of Wine Lip Balm. She's okay. She's very, very streaky and doesn't have the most pleasant taste. I think it's pretty natural, but a little expired for the price. Not too upset, but not my favorite. Probably not going to make the move with me.

This is my new staple item. It's a little worn down as you can see, but it's hue noir. Touch of wine is the shade and it's like a tinted chapstick because sometimes lipsticks too much of a hassle and too much upkeep. I have as you can see like discolored lips. It's annoying and this is like super subtle. And you can layer it and like your lips stay dry. They don't get flaky. I love it. They have a bunch of different shades, but this one's dramatic. You can pair a lip liner underneath to make it pop. Love. Beautiful. Hue noir.

one more video because I just realized the price of this thing. Hue Noir in... I can't remember, sorry. Touch of Wine. This is $5. It's like some of the best chapstick I've used in a long time. It's not waxy. Smells so nice and fresh. Soft. My lips absorb it perfectly. And the color is game-changing. My lips always like peel off lipstick. It's so icky. This is the best. I'm going to buy it in every color. It's like a must-have. It's like $5. What do you have to lose? It's amazing. Hue Noir. I love you.

So I won't be able to even say the name of this brand, but I got the Perfect Moisture Lip Butter which is tinted. I got one for a touch of rose and another one touch of wine. This is touch of wine. There's like barely any moisture. And this is touch of rose. There's nothing. My skin is so dry, I need more.

Hue Noir in the color Touch of Wine. I thought it would be darker. It's very subtle. Very moisturizing. Smells really good. I think personally I would have preferred if the color was a little stronger. But this is a nice light color. Nice light summer color. And it's very hydrating. I just think it would have been nicer if I had a stronger color. It matches my tank top.

Okay, I am a big time sucker for a red lip. This is from Hue Noir, Hail to the Queen, number 10. This is their Perfect Pout Lipstick. Let me show you. So pretty. It's very comfortable. I love that color. It's a very rich red. It's intense, but I don't feel like it's overwhelming. What do you think?

top 10 things you should pay more attention to starting with number one me

As a Black girl, it's important to find that perfect shade of red lipstick because not all reds are created equal. So I wanted to try Hugh Noir's Perfect Pout Hydrating Lipstick in Hail to the Queen. I feel like you have to say that officially, Hail to the Queen. But try the Hail to the Queen lipstick. And I must say, I love the fact that it's hydrating. So they don't just say it's hydrating, it really is hydrating. And it's a pretty shade of red that works for dark-skinned girls and brown-skinned girls. So I would definitely give this a thumbs up. And I will say try it out because I'm loving this lipstick.

So I'm always on the go, touching up my makeup, putting on my lipstick and such. Today I'm gonna be using the Hue Nor Perfect Palette Hydrating Lipstick. This is in the color Honey Chili. It's like a brown color. I'm really excited. I lined my lips and I'm gonna pop this bad boy on. The packaging is pretty cute. We have this little lid. It's kind of like thin, not the best quality. Okay. It has a metallic sheen. It's really not that brown. It's kind of natural, kind of plummy. I really like it.

Good morning! So before I run out the door I thought we would try this Perfect Pout hydrating lipstick in Hue Noir in the color Honey Chilling. I'm doing browns today. Look how pretty that is! It's like a work of art. I'm not gonna do mine or anything cuz I gots to go. It's kind of a coppery... I can't see. Oh Lord. It's kind of copper. I'll probably put some lip gloss on it or something but that's what it is right there.

Okay guys, I got this Hue Noir lipstick in my flip box. I didn't really think the color was accurately shown on the website or in the app, but it's much more of a brown color compared to what I saw. But after applying this, I do really like the color. It looks way more brown in here than actually when applied to your lips. I don't have any lipsticks or anything on right now. It just looks a lot more bronzy. It still has a bit of like a pinky hue. It doesn't look super or overly brown. This would be perfect for like a summer night because it has little gold glitters. Can you see in it? And I just think it's super, super pretty. It's not completely kiss proof. It does transfer like most lipsticks do. I'm pretty impressed by the color. It's very unique. So if you guys are looking for something that's bronzy toned, then this could be the color you guys are looking for.

Back with another flip-flip review. Let's get into it. This is a lipstick from hue noir in honey chili I absolutely love this product and let's see how it wears I absolutely love the tint and the color of it. It feels really great on the lips 10 out of 10 for this product

So I tried out Hugh Norris Perfect Pout Hydrating Lipstick in Honey Child. Yes, that's the name of the lipstick, Honey Child. I just love saying Honey Child. But anyway, so I tried out the lipstick because I love a good hydrating lipstick and I love nude colors. So I wanted to try out this neutral color to see what it was going to be like and to see just how hydrating the lipstick is. Now I want to say, love the way it glided on. It was nice and smooth and my lips felt buttery. And to me, this is a good hydrating lipstick. Love the color, love the shimmer and the shine. So try it out.
