I just received the Iconics kitchen set for material. I think my favorite thing about this is that it makes me look like I really have my act together. Now even though I have a beautiful tomato here, it's probably more likely that I will just use this gigantic sharp knife to cut cheese directly off the block and shove it straight into my mouth, but I'm so excited to have really sharp knives and this amazing magnetic stand. Fancy.

All right I'm so excited because my table knives from material arrived. These knives come with a maple block so that you can store them upright or you can put them in a drawer flat like this which is really cool that it just comes with that. Excellent. They were voted Food & Wine magazine's best modern knives which is pretty cool. They are very sharp and I've already tried to like cut through some things and some paper. They are dishwasher safe. It is German steel. Really cool little feature there. Their logo and the handles are stain resistant and they have a matte finish and they're kind of like slightly grippy which is great for a knife. So I really love these knives. I definitely highly recommend.

We cooked steaks last night and I was really excited to cut into them using the table knives from Material Kitchen. They come four to a set in that pretty wood maple holder. I've wanted a set of knives like these to have in case we ever had guests over, but I needed to make sure that they were actually going to do a good job cutting. I was pleasantly surprised by how good of a job they did cutting through my New York strip and we really enjoyed this dinner and how beautiful our new knives are. That's a Material Kitchen cutting board too in case you didn't recognize it.

Look at how smoothly these knives glide on that onion. I just received my Material Trio Knives Set. As soon as I pulled them out of the box, the quality was the thing that stood out. I made a mistake when ordering these because I wanted the beige ones, but I received the black ones. But to be honest, that matte black finish is absolutely stunning. Definitely worth it.
