I finally found the perfect sunscreen for my face. The MD Solar Science is a lightweight 100% mineral sunscreen with SPF 30 with a matte finish. And it's water resistant for 80 minutes. This is for all skin types including acne, rosacea, fungus and sensitive skin. I love how my skin looks super soft with a velvet texture. This is the most thing that I love about this sunscreen.

Unfortunately, I do not have much time to apply makeup anymore due to a newborn at home. So I decided to try this out by MD Solar Sciences. This is a tinted sunscreen which comes with physical blockers including zinc oxide with an SPF of 30 and it blends pretty well with my skin, which is good because otherwise that would be awkward. So here I am applying it onto my skin and I noticed from this experience and through the subsequent applications of this product that it feels very much like a matte face primer. However, the tint of this is very hard to see and doesn't really cover any of my imperfections just as a FYI. And I also noticed that throughout the day when I wore this, my skin would feel very dry and it wasn't a pleasant experience whatsoever since I do have dry skin. If you have oily skin, however, this may be more up your alley.

Skip the moisturizer and makeup primer. This tinted mineral sunscreen is a multitasker. It gives a filter-like poreless matte finish, similar to makeup primers that are described as feeling velvety. This is due to silicone, and compared to similar products, this does feel different. It has the texture of an airy whipped foundation. It's not runny or sticky, it's just got a lot of glide at first, which means it spreads super easily, which is a little frustrating. I have to apply two layers in order to use all half a teaspoon. The trick is, make sure to wait 20 minutes after it's applied before sun exposure to let the UV protecting film form, and it will settle into a smooth matte finish that doesn't feel greasy. There's no fragrance or essential oils, and it's boosted with vitamin C and green tea, both great for rosacea. Without makeup, this makes my skin look better than it is, and as a primer, my makeup looks better than it usually does. I'm ranking this one second of the seven that I've tried.
