I am candle obsessed and I have to show you this one. It is in the scent cowboy, it is earthy, sexy, and I am totally obsessed.

This is the Cowboy Candle from Ruby Gertrude Apothecary. This candle has a citrusy smell, it has a green kind of grassy smell, but the note that I noticed the most is black pepper. This when it's burning is such a strong black pepper smell, which I have to admit, for me initially I didn't love this. My husband, however, loved it immediately, so if you're looking to buy a candle for a man in your life or somebody who really likes more masculine scents, this could be a great one. I also love masculine scents, but I tend to like more musky amber notes. As I said, at first it was a little too, the black pepper was overpowering for me, but I've definitely come to really enjoy this. As you can see, I've burnt quite a bit of it. I will say this is also a great candle if you're looking for a cozy fall winter scent, but you don't want something that's so traditional or boring, for lack of a better word. You want something that's a little unique, a little different. I would say check this one out.

I simply could not turn down a cow, a candle that was named cowgirl. That is like my vibe. Love it. I'm from Texas. Oh, sorry. I live in Los Angeles, but anyway, let's smell it. It's Ruby Gertrude Apothecary by Leland Francis, which I just reviewed their body serum. So interesting. The smell is very interesting. So it says that it is bergamot, tuberose, orange blossom, garden geranium, jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, and peru balsam. Okay, yeah, I'm going to like this today. It's like honestly nothing I've ever smelled before.

This is just a quick review on the CalGirl Ruby Gertrude Apothecary Candle. Unfortunately, as I was unboxing it, I dropped it and broke it, so I wasn't able to use it, but I can still tell you it smelled great, and if you're looking for a high-end candle that will last you a long time, this is the one.

It's multi-layered, so you have the top is lemon orange, black cherry, raspberry. The middle is clary sage, rosemary, and the base is vetiver, patchouli, and labdanum. I don't know vetiver and labdanum, what that smells like, but I guess I'll find out. I will be burning this. And I do like the colors. I think it'll make a nice gift. It's just truly nothing like I've ever smelled before. Something else that I do like is that it is 100% soy wax with fragrance made from natural oils, and it's supposed to burn for 30 to 40 hours, which is pretty good. It's also free of synthetic ingredients like parabens and phthalates, so another bonus.

This is the Ruby Gertrude Apothecary Candle in the scent Pansy. This is a 100% soy candle, so when you burn it, it's not going to give off any sulfates or parabens. This is the most unique candle I have ever smelled in my life. When you first smell it, you're going to get a burst of lemon and orange, but tied in with a clary sage. And as you continue to smell it, it's going to tie in to the black cherry, velveteer, and patchouli. Oh my gosh, so unique and beautiful.

So I've been lighting this candle for about 15 minutes. I wanted to see how strong the smell is and I can confirm it smells amazing. If you guys like kind of like a clean scented smell, this one's for you. And what I like about this candle is that it's aesthetic, like it matches my whole aesthetic here.

So what are we talking about today? We're talking about this candle. I really liked this a lot as you can see. I burnt it all the way and I am a candle freak. I have so many and I don't burn my candles all the way if I don't love them. Well obviously I love this one. So it's interesting though because it's sweet. It's not like a vanilla sweet or like a candy sweet. It's almost like tart if that makes any sense. And it's different and it's unique and it smells expensive. And it was expensive but I was able to get it in one of the free products that Flip sometimes allows you to choose from when you spend a certain amount. And I think I spent the minimum amount and I got a free candle. And I'm very very happy with this choice. So highly recommend.

So I'm going to try to candle with y'all here right now, right here. It is the. I'm just like. Anyways. It smells like tea tree oil, to be quite frank, but I like it. It smells like a man's bedroom. Haven't been there in a while. Anyways, it's so small and cute, but we're being up, I actually thought to the top, which is really rare for candles. I don't know why they do or don't. It's also really cold. But oh my God, it literally smells like my ex-boyfriend's trauma. But it's delightful.

For me this candle was a flop. The packaging was super cute and it smelled good when I first opened the box but the sticker on the candle itself was really crooked so I actually had to face it towards the wall and when I did light the candle there just wasn't really any aroma in the air.
