It's made out of sustainable and recyclable wood and it only weighs 16 pounds. My son loves playing in our kitchen as it is, so I figured I would get him one his own size and he loved it. I'm not even joking, this kid has been playing with it for hours ever since we set it up. It's perfect for pretend play.
