Just over ten years ago in New York City, we opened the first nail salon where less is more. A thoughtfully designed space devoted not only to nail care but also to caring for yourself—and the world around you—with formulas that cleanse, nourish, color, and gloss, all without harmful ingredients. A place that’s meticulously clean yet feels warm and inviting, not clinical. An experience to savor and share.

It worked—beautifully. New spaces followed, each one unique, along with a curated product range that makes it possible to bring the Tenoverten experience home. We’ve come a long way, but what we’re most proud of is our community: the thoughtful, discerning, joyful, and inspirational women (and plenty of men, too) who know the power of the perfect ten. It’s a much-needed boost or a moment of pure calm, a fresh foundation or a finishing touch. The perfect ten is personal, and we’re here to help you make it your own.

Our products are not only “eight-free” (no dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, xylene, or triphenyl phosphate) but also cruelty free and vegan. From sourcing to shipping, we make sustainability a priority, and we work with Chemwise to recycle past-their-prime products, from leftover polish to every component of packaging, including caps and brushes.

If you want to get your nails healthy again for dip, you want to try this 10 over 10 rehab base. I had my nails off for a month and use this every single day. It has celery extract to improve moisture and horsetail extract to improve thickness. Of course my nails got so healthy I had to put my dip back on.

Okay, if you're like me and you hate waiting for your nails to dry, this is the top coat for you. I'm gonna apply this on camera and you guys are gonna see how fast this dries, okay? And of course this does smell like regular nail polish, unfortunately, but honestly, first of all, love the packaging, cute little matte. And so I'm just gonna blow on this a little bit and this literally dries in like 30 seconds. So I just applied a thin top coat. I've been wearing it on my nails for about three days now and so it's protected the color really nicely, but there is like some slight chipping here and there. So it's not like super foolproof, but almost completely dry. Just waiting a little bit longer. And the formula is very liquidy and wet, so I kind of prefer that. And it's already done. It's done.

This is 10 over 10, the shield, which is a top coat that promotes even coverage and prevents chips. So here it is after I've just applied it. Do be careful if you're heavy-handed, because it can remove some of your nail polish. You see the little dot by my cuticle, and there's the nail polish on the end of the applicator where it came off. Here's a comparison of a few days later, with and without. So, I would say overall this is great, especially if you work a lot with your hands. Go for it. Do it.

However, Bethany does note that there is some slight chipping after wearing the top coat for three days, indicating that it may not be completely foolproof. Despite this, she emphasizes that the top coat does a good job of protecting the color of her nails.
