Let's unbox this knife. It's a cleaver from the cooking guild First things first is a quick care and maintenance guide which for me I don't know a lot about about knives And so I feel like this is so helpful like you should oil your knife after each use didn't know that Don't use bleach dry it immediately and sharpen with a wet stone It's gonna help me to take care of this one really well, so it's all wrapped up in this foam. You can see that And it is already oiled which is weird I've never had an oiled knife before this thing is heavy-duty like it's heavy in my hand these are High-carbon steel knives and they will rust fast if you don't properly maintain them I am one of those people who I want ease But if you just tell me what to do like the care instructions do I'm gonna be able to maintain this knife, and I have a feeling it's gonna be around our house for a while

Truthfully, most of the knives in my kitchen are made by Global, but I've had them forever and wanted to switch things up, so I'm testing out the Cooking Guild knives. This is their 8-inch high-carbon steel hand forged chef's knife, and I'm putting it to the ultimate test, which for me is just slicing a tomato. This particular knife sliced through the tomato like it was butter. It required absolutely zero pressure and gave me paper-thin slices. As I mentioned, it's a chef's knife, so it's great for everyday tasks like slicing and dicing, basic meat carving, pretty much anything that you're gonna do in the kitchen on a regular basis. I probably wouldn't use it for things like fish slicing, anything super delicate, or herbs, but this is a great day-to-day knife. Also, the blade is textured and sexy and looks expensive, so I'd say it's probably a great starter knife if you're looking to add to your collection.

Alright, alright, it's time for an honest review. We've got this Nomad Series knife and I'm not gonna lie, from the looks of it, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. But let's put it to the test. First things first, I was pretty impressed by level 1. But trust me, we got many more levels to go, but we can celebrate level 1. Alright, on to level 2, let's get it. Boom! Okay, let's try that again. Eh, still not the way I wanted it, but I'll give it a nice little rating of a 7 out of 10 for this level. It's nice, I like the strokes, and honestly it just looks good cutting. Now let's up the ante a little bit with level 3, and honestly, yeah, it flies past that level. We can drink to that. I'm gonna go ahead and give that an 8 out of 10. But now we're gonna take it to the big league. Let's see what it can do, and it slices right through that level as well. Overall, I'd say 8.5 out of 10. Not too shabby for some German steel, I'd say.

Today I'm reviewing my, I guess it's a paring knife, but it's the smaller version of the Nomad series by the Cooking Guild. I decided to treat myself for my birthday because I am an avid cooker. I absolutely love this knife so far. I've been using it for a couple weeks now. It's super sharp. I probably am going to put it back after this, but when I first started cooking or chopping with it, I actually have, I have acrylic nails, so they're very hard, but I accidentally kind of nicked one of my nails and it made a significant mark on my nail. So it is super sharp. So be very careful. I am noticing, I am hand washing it like the directions recommend, but it looks like there's a little bit of rust getting on it. So make sure that it's dry before you store it. Even just the slightest water drop, I guess, but I do love it so far.

This is the beautiful petty knife from the Cooking Guild. It came in this box and it is wood and epoxy on the handle and German stainless steel blade so it is corrosion and rust resistant. It is very sharp. The theme of it, this is the Nomad series, is where water meets earth so that's what they're kind of representing there on the handle with the wood and the epoxy which I think they did a really nice job on and there's a lot of like really neat little features here. Then on the blade it is all those indentations are supposed to be mountains so yeah it is very sharp and if you're looking for a very good quality knife to invest in that is also just beautiful I highly recommend this.

This knife is beautiful with its deep sea epoxy and burl wood handle. It's sharp and lightweight which makes slicing and dicing easy. We were able to save so much time prepping our meal just by having this knife.
