If your vitamin C serum feels too oily, you should definitely give this a try. Be sure your face is completely dry before applying any vitamin C serums. I've been using the ascorbyl glucoside from The Ordinary for about a week now and I have to say I like it a whole lot better than their ethylated ascorbic acid. It doesn't leave an oily residue on my skin like the regular ethylated ascorbic acid does and it plays very well with my other serums.

Today we are trying out the Escargill Glucoside Solution by The Ordinary. This is supposed to be a water based vitamin C derivative serum. I've been using the regular vitamin C serum that they offer and I'm almost out. It's worked really great for brightening the skin, it just doesn't seem to play well with my other serums. It starts to pill up and it feels a little bit oily on the skin so I don't really prefer it. So I wanted to try this stuff out. It's a little bit more pricey but if it works better then it's worth the money. Look wise it's definitely more gel like than this one. This one almost kind of feels like an oil. Let's see how it feels. Just the way that it feels on my face it's definitely a lot better already just because it's not as oily. It feels more, even though it's like a gel like texture, it feels more like water. It just feels very light and nice on the skin. As far as the brightening component of it, I feel like it did exactly what the regular ethylated ascorbic acid from The Ordinary did. So it basically just comes down to preference, what you want to feel on your skin. The ethylated ascorbic acid is definitely more of an oil texture whereas the Escargill glucoside solution is more of a water jelly like texture.
