I'm going to show you how to get your hair from this to this with Captain Blankenship's Hair and Scalp Serum used four different ways. So I'm on day eight of not washing my hair. Kind of gross, I know. So as a pre-shampoo treatment, I'm going to go in with a few drops of this all over my scalp and hair. This technique is really great if you have a dry scalp or just in need of some extra hydration. Another way I love using this oil is in the shower after I shampoo. So I'll take a couple pumps of my conditioner and a couple pumps of the oil and apply this onto my hair. Let this sit for a few minutes and then I'll just rinse it out a few times to make sure all the product is out. After a quick rough dry with my blow dryer, my hair is definitely frizzy. I like to add a couple drops throughout my whole head just to get rid of that frizz and add shine. I mean, look at that. It's giving shiny. It's giving nourished. Then finally, after I curl my hair as a last step, I like to apply a couple drops to the ends of my hair and it really just seals the deal.

Okay, my hair is almost past the point of return as far as being oily. So I wanted to try the Captain Blankenship Refresh Dark Dry Shampoo. So this is colored with cocoa powder and activated charcoal, which I think will be great because my hair is a little bit darker. It has this pump here. I haven't tried it yet. Oh, wait a minute. It's not dark. Huh. Maybe I need to shake it. Am I? Dark Dry Shampoo. Raw cocoa powder and activated charcoal blend effortlessly into shades of brown, red, and black. Okay, I'm confused, but...

Okay, so for whatever reason, upon first trying this, it's coming out white. Let me shake it up a little bit here. I can smell the charcoal in it. Let's try... Hmm. I mean, it blends out really nicely. I'm just confused because I was picturing it to come out dark. So I don't know, I guess I'm going to have to read up on this. I will say that I love the applicator. I like being able to pump it into my hair. I think it makes it really easy. So I'm going to look into whether this is actually supposed to be dark or maybe I just misunderstood. I don't know. I don't know.

Okay guys, it's been sitting for a couple minutes. It doesn't feel too like powdery because I was worried about the texture. I think you can definitely see the difference. This is the oily side of my hair. This is with the dry shampoo in. I think it works pretty well overall. I really like the concept of it squirting out powder. I think this is a good investment. It's good for dark hair like I'm not having those white powdery spots it looks like. It smells good too so I'd recommend it.
