Let's make a grazing plate using my new Flabel serveware. So I got this platter and these cute bowls. I like to load the plate with some meat, cheese, savory, sweet, you know, a little selection, a bite here, a bite there. And just like that, a beautiful charcuterie board is made. You don't have to overcomplicate stuff. Just use whatever you have in the house. Usually when I build a board like this, it's like the little remnants of what I have left over, like dried pineapple. Who doesn't love a buttery cashew, you know? This is a little bowl of Cheez-Its. I feel like you do need a savory cracker on the plate. How beautiful is this Flabel serveware? I'm obsessed.

So I got these serving platter with the little bowls from Fable. Just came in and they are so beautiful. So well made. And it's pretty, not hefty, it has a good weight to it. But it's so cute. Can't wait to try them.

There's a lot of talk on Flip about whether or not Fable is worth the price tag, and the reality is you get what you pay for. I bought the serveware set, which includes a platter and four small bowls. And what I like about Fable is that it's ethically and sustainably crafted, handmade in Portugal so every piece is slightly unique, and it aims to be a zero waste company. Yes, it's a hefty price tag, but again, you're not getting an IKEA piece of serveware, you're getting something that's unique and will stand out on your table. Save your money on glassware, save your money on utensils, but for showstopper pieces, it's worth spending that extra money because people notice it. I bought the white speckled color, which is really subtly speckled, and I like the fact that it's glazed on most of it, and then on the underside it's exposed ceramic, so it's both elevated and also simple and rustic. It's perfect for charcuterie or a salmon crudo. Husband approved. Husband approved.
