About the nail art

Lorien Stern is a full time artist living in Inyokern, California, a small town in the Western Mojave Desert.
She makes ceramic art and runs a small brand consisting of clothing, home goods, and accessories.
Her goal as an artist is to make people feel happy when they see her work with subjects related to nature, celebration, and death.
She received her BFA from California College of the Arts in 2013 as an Individualized Major.

Product Story:

I love that the shape of an acrylic nail kind of looked like the shape of my ghost character.
It makes me so happy to see tiny smiling ghosts on the tips of my fingers.
Most of my work centers around animals and plants, but ghosts hold an honorary place in my cast of characters.
Since losing my father as a kid I am naturally curious and fearful about what happens to us after we die.
Making ghosts a regular subject in my art makes me feel more connected to loved ones lost and helps me process the concept of death.
