Goes to Japan once 🇯🇵 🍵 I drank a lot of tea in Japan, obviously, and this is the matcha latte I’ve been making almost daily ever since. At our tea ceremony in Kyoto— we learned to flick your wrist very fast when making the matcha, and not whisking in a circle (which, I used to do.) All the matcha I was served there was without any sweetener or milk, but I like to add a sprinkle of sugar to my powder to balance the bitterness and then I add steamed milk on top— usually oat because I like its flavor and texture the best, but sometimes soy.

If you think you don’t like tofu, you’re making it wrong. Drain a block of extra-firm tofu, then press to remove excess water. Tear into nuggets, then toss with 2 tablespoons oil, 2-3 tablespoons potato starch and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Place on a greased cooling rack over a baking sheet and cool at 400 F for 15 minutes, flip and cook another 10.

I realized how easy it was to make my homemade peanut butter cups and then… I made them. 🙂 If you can melt chocolate, you can make these! You only need three ingredients— and maybe some flaky sea salt if you want to be fancy! 1️⃣ Melt chocolate. Place in mini cupcake liners. 2️⃣ Add peanut butter (or any nut butter of choice). Freeze. 3️⃣ Add more melted chocolate, and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt if you want! Freeze until hardened.

if you think you don’t like raw kale— then I think you should try it again! Try finely chopping it for better texture, then adding dressing and massaging it very well. I use this base in a dozen or so enchilada recipes on my website, plus my enchilada soup and enchilada casserole.
