This is going to heat up within one minute and it gets as hot as 450 degrees which is awesome because I have thick hair, my daughter has curly hair. I also think that this is amazing because you can't really burn yourself with it. So it's going to be the perfect introductory heating tool for my preteen.

Alright so I got the Sleek paddle brush and I just washed my hair. So my hair is pretty much very thick and curly and it actually did not take a lot of hair like compared to other brushes.
