Tangle Teaser's Large Vented Blow-Dry Hair Brush is actually a really great multi-purpose tool. I initially tested it as a blow-dry brush since that's the way it's marketed, and although it works great at that, I found that with my ultra-straight hair, I liked it best as a scalp exfoliator to use on dry as well as wet hair in the shower. So if you end up picking up this brush and trying it as a scalp scrubber, let me know what you think.

Okay, if you want to know how to get your kids curls or waves looking like this, you gotta start out by detangling. I do use vegan low-talk silicone free products on her hair, which unfortunately does mean it gets more tangly because it's not covered in artificial ingredients and heavy silicones. After spraying a detangler, we always start from the bottom of her hair and work our way up. This process in its entirety took us about three minutes, and we also always brush it until her hair is a hundred percent smooth.
