Directions for Use:
- Dig a circle slightly larger than the Tomato Crater, about 1.5 inches deep.
- Loosen soil 6–8 inches deeper and plant your seedling.
- Lock the two halves of the crater around the plant with a slight twist.
- Firmly pack soil against the outer edge to secure and seal in moisture.
- Optionally, fill the center hole with soil for added support for tomatoes, peppers, etc.
- Use the slots on the bottom for three-wire plant support cages or additional stakes.
- Add water and plant food as per soil conditions to promote growth.
Tomato Growing Tips:
- Choose disease-resistant varieties suited to your growing zone.
- Select plants with well-developed root systems, especially in shorter growing seasons.
- Rotate planting locations annually and avoid areas previously used for potatoes or eggplants.
- Ensure 6–8 hours of sunlight daily and use well-draining soil.
- Water plants from the base, keeping leaves dry.
- Use peat moss for better drainage if needed.
- Support vines with cages or bungee cords, leaving room for growth.
Maintenance:
- Set the Tomato Crater slightly below ground level with soil packed firmly around the edges.
- Water deeply, ensuring moisture reaches 6–8 inches in depth.
- At the end of the season, wash and store indoors for long-lasting use.
