What it is?
The WEBCARDLXE transforms compatible UPS systems into managed network devices, allowing remote access, monitoring, and control via SNMP, web browser, SSH, or Telnet. With HTML5-based interface and PowerAlert® Device Manager, it facilitates easy interaction without Java. This card enables remote monitoring, logging of electrical data, UPS self-tests, and power events, with the capability to reboot network equipment remotely. It supports user access control, event notifications via email or SNMP traps, and automatic shutdown of remote systems. Optional EnviroSense2 modules provide environmental monitoring capabilities. PowerAlert Element Manager software streamlines mass configurations and firmware updates.
Key Benefits
- Makes any compatible Tripp Lite UPS system, PDU or cooling unit a managed network device via SNMP, web, SSH or Telnet
- Remotely monitors site electrical data, UPS self-test logs, alert logs and logged power events like blackouts, brownouts and overvoltage conditions
- Reboots locked network equipment without disrupting power to other loads (when used with controllable outlets or remotely switchable outlets on select devices)
- Supports multiple protocols, including IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, Telnet, SSH, FTP and DHCP
Operate Any Compatible Tripp Lite UPS System or PDU as a Managed Network Device
- Monitor, control and reboot a compatible UPS system or PDU over your local area network (LAN). Insert Tripp Lite’s WEBCARDLX Web Management Accessory Card into the network slot on a compatible Tripp Lite device and use an SNMP network management platform, SSH, Telnet or a web browser to control the device over the network. The WEBCARDLX has an HTML5-based interface (the mobile-friendly PowerAlert® Device Manager), so Java isn’t needed for operation.
Remotely Monitor and Reboot Network Equipment
- The WEBCARDLX allows you to remotely monitor and log site electrical data, UPS self-tests, alerts and power events like blackouts, brownouts and overvoltage conditions. You can also reboot locked network equipment without an on-site visit or disruption of power to other loads (when used with controllable outlets or remotely switchable outlets on select devices). With optional EnviroSense2 modules (sold separately), the WEBCARDLX can control digital outputs and monitor temperature, humidity and contact closure state (features vary by module). Up to three EnviroSense2 modules can be daisy-chained together.
Control Access and Stay Informed with Event Notifications
- You can assign users different levels of access, from full administrator to view-only operator. Multiple user support allows viewing by more than one user simultaneously. In addition, you can create an encrypted connection using your web browser’s SSL setting. Based on your preferences, the WEBCARDLX can notify you of events and power conditions with email messages or SNMP traps. It can also automatically shut down remote operating systems over your network (OS must have PowerAlert Network Shutdown Agent version 58). Real-time clock support maintains current day and date, even after a UPS shutdown. NTP (Network Time Protocol) support enables automatic updates to the real-time clock from an NTP server.
Save Time with Mass Configurations & Hassle-Free Compatibility
- With a free downloadable utility (available from Tripp Lite’s website), you can replicate the configuration of one WEBCARDLX-enabled device to other comparable devices. It’s also possible to update the firmware of multiple WEBCARDLXs over the network at the same time.
- The WEBCARDLX supports multiple protocols, including IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, Telnet, SSH, FTP and DHCP. 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing ensures optimal communication compatibility with the current 10/100 Base-T network. DHCP/Manual configuration support permits network settings to be assigned automatically or manually.
