This was one of those rare dressers that was in pretty good condition when I picked it up Besides all of the drawer tracks being broken and needing fixing this was a pretty basic flip with the addition of pretty florals I had someone reach out to me who lived almost 3 hours away to claim this piece She had been searching for a dresser for her daughters bedroom for months and just couldn t find what she was looking for She had seen my floral nightstands that I posted a couple weeks back and decided she wanted to customize a dresser in that same style She was fabulous to work with and was so happy with how it turned out This color is called 1987 by Wise Owl and you can find it on my website: www.homegrovedesigns.comClipsHome & Garden

I can t tell you how many times this happens to me I see a dresser posted for free and think I know what is underneath all of that horrible paint Only to commit get there and realize that the dresser is not the amazing piece I thought it was To make matters worse I have a hard time turning down ANY free furniture so here we are again After bringing it home I knew that I could not restore it because the sides were completely busted So I decided to go with a design that not only stretches my skills but would hide any imperfections with rebuilding the sides Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and change directions I absolutely can t WAIT to show you what I did You are going to love it or hate it But I hope you love it!ClipsHome & Garden

Sorry mcm purists you may not like this one. The design of this piece was excellent but I truly wasnt loving the shields on the door fronts. It was giving off too much of a Medieval times look. The poll on switching them over to cane was a perfect split so I made the excecutive decision to add splined cane to the door fronts for a lighter more boho look. Here’s what I used for my green paint wash👇🏻 one part green paint (I used color: Blanched Thyme) five parts water apply and wipe away.. then wait and watch the magic happen.. this allows you to have a neutral base to create a color tone of your choice without every stain you choose automatically pulling orange/red.ClipsHome & Garden

This is how I turned my Kitchen into a gingerbread house. First, I started off by recycling boxes to create a roof top for above my cabinetry in my kitchen. I painted the cardboard with the acrylic paint and then use Modge podge around the edges with fake snow that I found at dollar tree. I layered on Christmas decorations garland around the window and mini Christmas wreaths on the kitchen cabinets to make it a little more magical. I added Christmas lights as well.
