This apple pie infused bourbon is perfect for fall cocktails!
You’ll need:
3 large apples, sliced or diced
3 cinnamon sticks
2-3 cardamom pods
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 whole cloves
3/4 cup maple syrup
Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste, or 1 whole vanilla bean, cut in half lengthwise
Bourbon or whiskey
Add all ingredients to a large (1L+) jar, then cover with bourbon. Gently shake, then store in a cool, dark place. Let infuse for at least 3 days, or up to 2 weeks.
Strain the bourbon through cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve. See above in caption for ideas on how to use the apples.
You can store the strained bourbon at room temperature in a dark place indefinitely. ClipsFood & Drink
