849 For easy, flavorful protein to have on hand for the week, try this Middle Eastern chuck roast!
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Season a 2.5lb chuck roast with salt, pepper, and spices: 1.5 tsp sumac, 1.25 tsp basil, 0.5 tsp marjoram, 1 tsp Aleppo pepper, 1 tsp oregano, 0.5 tsp turmeric, and 1 tsp onion powder.
3. Place in an oven-safe dish with 6-8 garlic cloves, 24oz bone broth, and a small cinnamon stick. Cover and bake for 3.5 hours.
4. Shred the beef, return it to the oven at 400°F for 15-30 minutes.
5. Serve with Greek yogurt and pickled red onions (slice 1 red onion, mix with parsley, sumac, salt, and lemon juice). I love serving this with my low carb, high protein Kaizen rice.
